A NEW ROOF: THE CHINTSA EAST CHURCH ROOF WAS CONVERTED FROM THATCH TO ALUMINUM ROOFING

Can you convert a Thatch Roof to another type of Roofing?

At Bosazza Roofing & Timber Homes we offer three different systems to convert thatch roofs: Structure Stays, Renovate/ Reconstruct and Over-sheeting. While we recommend using the Structure Stays system which removes all of the thatch from your roof, in some cases it is possible to over-sheet the original roof.

Upon first visit to this stunning residential home in the small town of Joubertina, we were struck by the impressive roof design with its high pitch, straight angles and edges which is uncommon in thatched homes that are not based on the traditional Dutch style seen in Cape St. Francis and the Western Cape.
